ST70/C70 Kick Start Shaft.

Chaps, would the kick start shaft from an early 70 s C70 fit an early 70s ST70 engine please?

Yes it should be the same

As long as the gearbox is the same, you should be fine.

I recently bought a st 70 with kick starter welded to the shaft & I cut off the shaft between kick shaft oil seal and kick starter groove. i bought a new CF50 kick shaft & dissembled the engine ( ST70E-300167) to replace the shaft. but gear wheel looks different, is it ok to replace the ST70 kick shaft with the CF50 ?? http://imageshack.com/f/21/16052004kickstarts005.jpg ( st70 kick shaft preview)

Yes you can mix and match 6v/12v shafts.
But... you'll need to re-use the original gear on the new shaft. (If they are of a different type / size)
