Rebore or new cylinder

Hi

New to the forum and an ST70. I am into enduro bikes and have a Honda CRF250x and as such was given an ST70 from my mother in law because it was sitting in the guarding rusting away.

It is in a bit of a state, the piston is seized and there are many other things to repair or replace.

My question is do I get the original barrel re-bored or do i get a replacement barrel and piston kit?

Depends on how bad the inside is rusted.
Also, it can be quite tricky to source the correct oversize piston and rings.

There are a couple of ST nos barrels for sale on Ebay at the moment.Not cheap though.
