Fast Indicators

My 89 st50j has indicators than when the bikes running flash far too fast. It has a recently fitted 12v 23w flasher relay, it did have 10 w bulbs fitted so i thought 23w would do the trick but no exactly the same?
Any ideas and also what watt my flasher and indicator bulbs should actually be ?

Re: Fast Indicators
The 23 watt is the total load the unit should operate when energised. i.e. 2 x 10w + 1 x 3w dummy = 23w.
Deviate too far away and they will flash too fast or not at all.
Cheers,
Dave

Thanks that makes sense. I fitted a new flasher relay of a known brand and its resolved.
