DAX ST70 Problem matching frame and engine serials for MOT
Hi all!

I'm new in the forum, it´s really good!

I recently restored a ST 70.

It has plate from Gran Canaria Spain (in Canary Islands). When I went to pass the MOT in Spain (ITV) they said that the frame and the engine numbers are not correlated.

I would need to know which is the engine number which does correspond with that frame number.
Frame: ST 70 6309404
Engine: ST 70E-6305827

Or maybe just a document form Honda which relates both components. But Honda Spain and Honda UK said that they don't have that information and they can't do that document.

Do you have any idea about what I could do? It's so annoying after so many work that I can't legalise it to ride it!

Many thanks!!!

P.S.- I attach some pics, I hope you like them!

Honda mixed and matched frame and engine numbers.
So they can't be sure they aren't correct; nor can they tell you what the correct engine number should be for the frame.

Thanks for your reply!

The problem is that the number of the frame was changed previously... and I think that they think that it could be stolen or something. Then, they asked me for an official paper which relates the frame with the number, but as much as that is almost impossible to achieve, I reckon I will try to dialogue more with them...
