fuel leaking out of pipe at bottom of fuel chamber

I stopped earlier today and my engine was racing on tickover and there was fuel leaking (almost pouring) out of the pipe that cones from the bottom of the float chamber.

Can anybody give me an idea why this is, and what I can do to rectify it.

1984 chaly. Auto gearbox & auto choke.

check the bowl drain screw isn`t loose. fuel will be pissing down the tube and prob at the head of the screw too. "o" ring might be fucked on the drain screw now too, worth taking it out and checking it. bowl might have some shit inside too make sure everything is clean. dirty bowl = very annoying blocked/restricted jets which are a bit dangerous when you need power at junctions etc, get a decent inline fuel filter. old fuel tanks seem to contain a lot of rust.

Clean the carburator.....

Carb is currently in pieces (again....).
All jets have been poked through & maxed sure they're clear. Now to put the Bugger back together....

"Made" sure they're clear".

That awkward moment when everything is back together, you start it up & see petrol leaking out. So you take everything apart again only to find that you forgot to do up the two screws that hold the float bowl on......
