Engine and frame dating.

Hi all, just picked up a rather battered ST70 today but its not got a V5 or a registration. The frame number is ST70-147 ***, and the engine number is C7OE 364 ***, was wondering if anyone can give me an idea of its year of manufacture please? cheers Paul.

Not sure of the built date of the frame, but the engine isn't the original one.
If it's a 6-digits frame number, it could be 1970.

Cheers Waynus. I did wonder whether or not they were correct as a pair.

From what I have discovered over the last few days on various websites it suggests the frame and engine were made somewhere between '69 and '71.
