1 Man and 3 babies
Hi All, this is my current restore/s I'm busy with. 1 Lady and 2 Candy Ruby Red Dax's. Glass Beat blasted and primed. Got them back on Friday and Started putting them back together. The Candy Ruby Red one's look a bit too dark. :?: They got sprayed by a Honda Repair Shop. Is it me or are they to dark? What do you think?

// fixed your picture, viewing is easier this way ;)

It's hard to tell, really. The look of the colour is always influenced by the light, camera type, camera settings,...
I know there aren't many around who are capable of getting a candy colour right.
It has to be done in multiple layers of different types of paint.
The only way to make sure it's an exact match to the original colour is to get your hands on a NOS painted part (chainguard or so) and even then you don't know how much the colour is faded trough the years.
Based on the picture, they look indeed too dark, not bright enough...

They look nice and shiny, that's for sure!

Maybe you can tell leeandaly what exact paint codes they used for the lady one?

Thanks Waynus,

They've got the NH-24 Ceramic white on their system and that is spot on because I got the frame painted after the forks and swingarm. The color under the seat on the frame were in very good nick and it matched pertect.

On the candy ruby red they also found the color and the code(r-4c) but there I don't have any parts the compair with. So we trusted the color chart...Well now i have two almost candy ruby red dax's  .

How do you do the "ficed" thing?

Sorry, I meant 'fixed'.
Just use the "Img" tab above the text window. (when posting a new reply)
If you type the pictures adress between the two 'img' tags, it will show in your post.
