Very nice and clean restoration, good job!!!
You seem to have all the necessary tools and work space as well. 8-)

The only thing I'm not a big fan of, is the ST seat.
The OT seats look way nicer to me...

Congrats on a job wel done!

Hi guys
nice and clean restoration I agree with Waynus about the seat but this gets back to the debate about cost of original parts etc, the main thing is that another ST70 is back on the road where they should be.

I think this is an original part.
This type of seat was used on the NT dax, and a lot on the French bikes.

Hi, I did buy the bike from Phil, I was going to mot it and then ride it but once I got the spanners at it to check it over I got carried away and decided to rebuild it. I have used genuine honda parts except the decals and seat cover and the build went well untill I came to the clutch. The "oil through" had been put in backwards and at the time I did not realise this so tried to put another one in at the same time and could not get the engine cases back on untill I realised what was wrong. I now know the clutch mechanism with my eyes closed I had it apart that many times and replaced most of the parts in it. The bike is now road legal but the clutch adjustment is giving me some hassle so any tips on this would be appreciated. I have changed the seat cover to a flowered one. This is the best copy I could find and I purchased this and the decals off Ebay form a guy in Guernsey who is very helpfull and gives great service called dax70man. I will keep you all updated with the clutch.

Untighten the nut a bit in the middle of the clutch case.
Untighten the screw completely, but do not dismount it!

With your hand pressing down the kickstarter shaft, you should feel close to zero resistance.
Start tightening up the screw, whil you press down the kickstarter after every 1/4th turn on the screw.
As soon as you feel the resistance on the kickstarter (you'd hardly be able to press the kick down at this point), re-tighten the nut. (Make sure the screw stays in pthe exact position!!!)

That's all folks, now you're ready to hit the road!
