Finished! My ST70 Resto
Here's my '74 ST70, before and after the full restoration.
Complete nut and bolt strip down, engine rebuild, equipment and parts were refurbished where possible, replaced if not. Loads of original frame parts retained and re-plated.
Managed to save the original headlight and surround, which now looks lovely.
A lot of the alloy was polished and it's come up pretty well.

The frame and mudguards are sprayed. Don't know the paint code or colour for the mudguards, I just told my sprayer what sort of appearance I was looking for and left him to it.

The black is all powder coated.

Your Bike looks amazing. May I ask where you sourced your parts from? I have one I will be restoring this year and need a reference of where to start getting parts from. For example I need a complete new round headlight as my one I purchased has a square one that has been welded on.

Any advice would be great

Thank you

Thanks.
As said, Shire Bikes and David silver are the "go to" sources.
They will supply new Honda parts, some NOS original parts and non original pattern parts. Ebay also has a number of listings usually, but I didn't actually use this source.
Where possible, I either repaired or refurbished/renovated the original parts. I had all the plating re-done. The headlight surround was re-chromed and the engine completely rebuilt, retaining the original casings, head, barrel and covers. Some parts seemed incredibly good value, whilst others, ridiculously expensive!
Best of luck with your project.
