Barn Fresh 1969 ST70 Dax Export
I found this one at a nearby sale. It was late in the morning and I couldn't believe it was still there. Bad news, no title and the key goes in but will not turn. I believe it's a 1969. Frame number is ST70-5451XX. Looks almost complete. According to the family, originally, they owned three. Sold 2 about 25 years ago. This may explain why the key won't work. What do you think?

Hi mds308, I think it does look like a early one because it looks to have a removable front end, it looks superb, have a look around the ignition key barrel or helmet lock or steering lock for a key number, there will most certainly be one and quote it to one of those larger locksmiths and they will tap it into a computer and the correct key will come out of their machine because I have done this a few times

Thanks for the help. I decided it would not be a project I'd want to tackle. I have listed the bike on eB*y. It should be easy to find. It may be the only one.

Hi there,
I don't think it is a 69, as I have one and yours has many features found on the later ones. I would say the earliest it can be is 73. Self adhesive Honda sticker where the early ones had cast badges. All the first batch imported in 69 had low level exhausts and the frame is different to support it, when I can find my frame number/date of manufacture sheet I will be able to say with more accuracy the year of your bike.
