RAYLEIGH SHOW

Very nice to meet such a great bunch of helpful ST chaps on Sunday - Shorrocks - Tuftynutkin - Absolute and anyone else I may have missed out - and see some fine little ST's - especially the matching pair of Ladydax's with an equally delightful matching pair of young ladies astride them!I have a pic but not sure who to send it to!

I've learned a lot at the show and the dating results I get from the VJMC will determine whether I restore mine to as close to original as possible or make a special out of it in a different colour of some sort, maybe with a bigger engine - 110cc?125?cc maybe.Either way it's going to cost!

It may be worth mentioning that a friend of mine is restoring an RD350 and has used Simoniz Hard Black gloss spray aerosol as a top coat - what a superb finish!
I hope I can make some valid contributions to the website as I get to grips with my restoration, rather than produce a barrage of questions - time will tell.
I can recommend a couple of metal finishing companies worth looking at;Foremost Coatings,Hobbs Industrial Estate,Newchapel Surrey.(Shotblasters) - extremely helpful guys.
"Ikleenzemachinez" - specialist bead blasters; Jasmine Grove, Penge London SE20.
Both have websites but haven't got time now to look them up!
Thanks again guys for your advice.Brian

Yes indeed, it was a very sad day, my bike has now gone to a new home
but the new owner is an avid collector of all things monkey :P :P.

His collection is absolutley amazing, so my very rare x5 Lady dax will fit in well.

I believe the guy bought it for his wife to ride to work from Fulham to Hammersmith,
nice!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

I know how much you love the wicker basket Tufty, so i've kept it just for you :D
You could keep a fair amount of breakdown tools in it, or maybe a jar of glitter for your frame ;) ;) ;)

My new project is now underway, just waiting for a big parcel from OOracing and the the fun begins..................I'll start to post some photos soon

Many thanks Simon
