Hi all,

Looking to design an ST owners club sticker, ;) Once I know how to post pictures i'll put it on. :( But for now it looks like it will be a 50mm x 50mm vinyl sticker possibly oval in shape, that will stick on to surfaces rather than stick onto the inside of windscreens. It has the owners club logo (as in the top left of this forum) and has a three dimensional graffic of aN ST underneath, all on a white background. I know at the moment there is no picture, but what does every body think, good size, shape?? :?: Let me have your thoughts before I go ahead.

Many thanks Si

Please excuse the poor quality, but I had to take a picture from my computer to display this :( :( :(

The logo is very basic but it sets the tone, it will be in either a small rectangle or oval shape.

What do you think :?:

Well as long as it does not show the very rare and exclusive Lady Dax both ideas have merit Shorrocks shows a resemblance to a bike I saw at Battlesbridge the weekend before last !!!

Hello Defadog,

I like it :D :D :D :D Your right, a little tidying up and it would be a good design ;) Any more budding graffic artists out there, maybe we could have the best out of five??

Many thanks Si

Hi
The more line based the design the easier it is to read and understand also the black on white is cheaper to print or embroider on to a patch so perhaps this is the direction we should be heading in
As there are over 200 lookers it would be nice to have input from other members if only to say don't waste your time and energy we can't be bothered

Hi Guys,

I have a hi-res version of the current logo if you want it? It was created with Photoshop and is infinitely scalable so there will be no loss of quality when printed.
The one you have in your current design (the red and blue) will not scale and may print out poorly.

Thanks

Hello James,
Yes that would be good, could you PM the design over, and I'll see wether we can incorporate it within the overall logo.

Many thanks Si

Hi Simon,

I would like to offer my thoughts at the risk of upsetting you..., but don't take it personally - I promote brands for a job.........!

We should use the logo from the website as closely as possible - or redesign the website logo.

The idea of a sticker for the club would be to identify that there is a club and promote it to new members as well as let other people know that our bikes are special enough to be a club. Existing members would wear the club colours to identify membership on all their bikes regardless of customising etc. If you get my meaning!

The sticker therefore, should have a logo and contact detail - website address in our case. No picture of the bike as most cases there would be a bike around anyway and why put a red bike sticker on a blue bike for example.

As for shape - it should be sympathetic to the current sticker sizes and shapes used by Honda already on the bike so that we can place the sticker on our machines without it looking out of place - satisfies the purists too.

The shape is also a cost consideration when producing the sticker as you have to have a cutter made for your shape so a square or rectangular sticker is cheaper. And lastly, these bikes were made in the 70's so the sticker should consider the styling and the print styles of that era too. (maybe)

Any way thats my take.....

John
