Im new on here and a new owner of a Dax
I paid the princely sum of £30 quid for a rolling chassis with 90% of a c70e motor and im gonna trick it up


Its not much to look at now but i have a pretty good idea of what im doing having turned this


Into this on only £200


Ive already started the strip down and im going to be modding the frame and fiting a hand shift to it
It may take a while because like most at the minute im skint as and it needs a ridiculous amount of the small fiddly normally extortionately priced parts

The white on it was primer, the lad i got it off sprayed over what was left of the original blue
Im going proper oldskool with the colours and far from stock

What are your plan?! I quite fancy getting another one and tricking it up!

Im going to funk it up good style
A kind of mix of hot rod, flat track and a usa minitrail if i can find the bash guard in good condition
and its definately having a hand shift
Im saying its going to take a year because its all the little bits missing and i have to mod the frame and repair a bit as it was originally chopped to take an underseat thru the frame pipe.
Spent the afternoon filing the casting lines off the inlet and trying to shot the wheels with a dodgy blast cab, so its moving along slowly with repairing the bits i already have while im looking for the bits i need.
Im quite lucky tho my mates got an original mid 60s lady that i can go and mooch over to see exactly what im missing.
Ill get some pics up over the next week as stuff gets finished
