Hi,

Another newbie, not got my dax yet but I did have one last year. Unfortunately the DVLA here wouldn't register it, I imported it from the UK but the paperwork wasnt good enough. Very frustrating and I broke it in the end to recoup my money. I didnt really like doing that but it wasnt standard and did not run either.

Luckily enough I am in Jersey and know Lloyd who I believe is a member on here, he bought a few bits from my old dax and after speaking to him today he is hopefully (please!! please!!) going to part with one of his bikes to me. There are quite a few over here and I know a group of lads who have some really nice ones with all sorts of mods/motors/tuning etc who go out on runs together. The good thing being is the experience and advice I can get from them.

Currently I own an NSR250 and the Dax, if I can get a spare frame to paint, will be a homage to that if all goes to plan.

Looking forward to getting advice here too and offering any if I can.

cheers

Welcome to the site Bully! I recognise you from the ClioSport forum (my username is ***** on there and I've posted photos of my Lady Dax before).

Cheers guys, am going away for a couple of weeks and when i get back am hoping to sort out getting the bike.

James, yep I did wonder what you had done with your dax. I had not been on CS for ages as I was travelling etc. Just started looking in again. Saw loads of dax type bikes around Asia on my travels and it really reminded me that I needed to sort one out when I get back, so after saying hello to family last week I rang the guy to try and get one.

With a bit of luck I can be on the road in a few weeks. Wouldnt mind a lady dax for the Mrs but I dont think I can justify the cash :o

My Dax is in the shed with a flat rear tyre and broken engine :( I really need to find some time to fix it but I'm just so busy with general life that I just never get chance. I had big plans of getting it running for the summer but I need to strip it down and see what the problem is which is going to take time and cost $$$.
I'll probably end up getting a bigger bike before I do fix it.

Were you doing the martial arts stuff? I can't remember if it was you or not?

Good luck on sorting your bike!

Yeah I do a bit of chop suey, more of an enthusiast than a fighting machine lol, too old and weak for all that :( I just enjoy practicing forms and stuff really. Nothing serious.

You should get your Dax fixed up feller, you will have a ball in the summer on it. Or you could sell it to me of course ;)

Just got back from Spain so sorry about the late reply, net access was sparse. Got a few things to sort then will speak to Lloyd to see whats happening and if he wants to sell me a bike. Otherwise I 'll be trawling the classifieds on here.
