Honda ST meetings???????????????

Does anybody know if there will be any meetings this year, and if so where will they be. Could be a possibility of tying up with the monkey bike boys ????

Hi Simon,

Hopefully there will be a meet some time this year but am not really sure when/where it will be. Being able to get everyone together is difficult and because it's not ideal to ride over 100 miles on an ST70 we need to find somewhere suitable. Unfortunately we didn't get around to having a meet last year but I really hope we manage it in 2011!

I'll create a new thread on the forum in the coming days to help find a suitable location and date. I'll try my best for there to be a meet this year!

I hope there will be a meeting this year as it would be good to meet and thank/buy a beer for, the regular guys who dish out all the advice and help. Hopefully it will be an overnighter where we can indulge in a couple of "socials". I will be travelling to the meet in my van with "Me Monkey" in back....so milege to the meet will not be a problem, May be able to get another "Northern Monkey" in the van if anyone is travelling from the North East..

I'm going to create a poll/topic on the forum over the coming days asking about locations for a possible meet. I'm going to make a special effort to try and organise something as the club has grown to a level where we have enough members in certain areas for meet-ups (even if they are annually). Location and date are the two important factors and we need to get these sorted as soon as possible so people can put it in their diaries.
Last year's meet just didn't happen for various reasons - I was living abroad for some of it and then the summer just came and went. If I'm going to event on my bike I had better get around to fixing it ASAP

I will be at our local charity bash for cars and bikes on Sunday August 14th at Saffron Walden Common,Essex. People just turn up, park and chat.
Last year there were members of the Harley Club,scooters and vintage bikes.
Perhaps if people just let you know about local events which they might be attending we will build up a calender of events.

That sounds like a good idea. I will try and get a calendar added to the site where we can list the events. There is actually one just a few miles from me every year - the Woodcote Steam Rally. Many classic bikes are displayed there and it's a good place to meet like-minded people who have a passion for older motorcycles.
I will get around to starting a thread about the annual ST meet within the next few days.
