Urgent help required on ST70 6Volt DAC wiring problem?

Hi can anyone help me, having my DAX MOT'd Wednesday 28th Feb, just went to try lights and have a problem, the indicators only work when the main beam light is on dip or hi beam, and the head light flashes as does the brake light and the neutral green light, also my front small light dosent work the bulb looks ok, does anyone know what i can do, i have checked the wiring all looks ok but must be an earth somewhere? any help much appreciated as want to get back on the road.

It does sound like a dodgy earth, but may take a while to trace. To get it through the MOT meantime, simply remove the indicators, if they are not there it will still pass it's test. An extra earth wire connected to the headlamp she'll back to the frame might be a good place to start.

I did check all the earths yesterday and still the same problem, i have bought a new battery but and waiting to get it charged and will carry on working through the problem another thing that happened yesterday was i started the dax as usual let it tick over for 10 minutes then went for a short ride but it broke down, with a sort of knockicng noise, do you think this is the petrol as after i eft it for a while it started but then did the same again after riding it for 3 mins.

I wouldn't think it would have anything to do with the petrol, sometimes as the engine cuts out it will knock and rattle with the backlash within the drive train. Cutting out after running for a short time could be the petrol cap vent being blocked, or in the case of the ST70's the vent could be at the off position.
