Help with tracking down a car owner

Hi,

I am trying to track down the owner of a particular car (won't go into the reason why on here) but I know the make, model and I think I know the registration number. Bit of a long shot I know but there are some very knowledgeable people on here!

I am 99% sure I wrote down the correct registration number although when checking it on the Askmid insurance database (http://www.askmid.com) it says it's uninsured which I find hard to believe!

It's a hot hatch so I thought the owner would be a member of their car club but they don't seem to be (I know someone who actually helps with the organisation of the club and she is pretty sure they aren't a member).

awwww, James your no fun, you could at least say the kind of rod it is. . . . not that I can be of any help. Here in the US you pretty much need to have a (very) good friend in the police to research an owner by tag number.

It's a Ford Fiesta ST, not sure if you get them in the States.

I used to see the car on a regular basis a couple of years back and saw it again when I originally posted this thread... trying to track the owner down. Sadly I'm not friends with any helpful policemen
