My top speed was about 47mph, what's that, 75kph or so. What is your top speed on stock cogs? Where can i get the smallest rear cog available, and how many teeth are on it. check out my new museum...every bike EVER released in the USA. Happy Riddin, Bill

I was managing 35mph on the flat, would possibly get more if I shed a few pounds!

I was on a Honda CL70 (similar to an SS50 but 70cc and American) on my way to a club meeting and came across a few cyclists out on a practice route. I pulled out ready to overtake and it took me about a mile to complete the manoeuvre, at which point I was flat on the tank and fully in view of my VJMC mates where the meeting was held. They still remind me of it....... A slight headwind kept me to about 35mph. It would have been faster, but I'm perhaps not as slim as I was when I had my SS50 with 70cc top end in 1979.......!

I was showing my bike at a rally and it was on the side of a racecourse and the racecourse was shut and I went around the racecourse and into the chicanes at 30 miles per hour and it felt l was doing about a 100 miles per hour because I was so low to the ground
