Chrome Nuts and Bolts
Hi guys,

Just wondered if you have any places you would recommend for chromed nuts and bolts?

Looking for good quality as where I live is exposed to salt air a lot of the time.

How about a slight compromise by using polished stainless steel? It may be better suited for your environment. I've used stainless on all of my recent restorations and buy m5, m6, m8 screws at shows or online quite cheaply. They normally come with grade information on them, but this can easily be skimmed off if you can get access to a lathe. Wheel spindles and special screws are harder to replicate in stainless of course without special tooling, but there are specialists out there such as Phil Denton who will produce whatever you need, albeit at a price.

Don't even think about a plating kit - a waste of £80+ in my opinion.
