Thanks for the welcome, my daughter has shown an interest in my Lambretta and when she is older I will let her use it but in the meantime I would love her to learn riding basics on a smaller bike and a Honda st seems the perfect solution! Even better if it needs restoration, she can help and hopefully learn how things work, I have seen a few projects on eBay etc but the prices seem high when complete rebuilds are needed, any advice would be really appreciated!!

If you are serious about a restoration the following may be of use.
Spares-Dave Silver, CMSNL, Shire Bikes and sometimes Honda.Ebay of course has its uses.
Try to find a parts catalogue on line and the Honda workshop manual helps some.Lastly, find a copy of the Haynes Honda C70/C90 manual as the engine section is bang on for the strip etc. As I understand it,it is the same engine. Good luck.

Thanks, I had an idea the engines were the same and put new valves in my SS50 back in the 80s so have had a dabble before!! Could do with the bike now to start on, any ideas where there might be a suitable one as epay has gone mad with prices...

I am afraid that the "Classic" bike scene price wise has gone well over the top unfortunately. ST 70 are no exception. Classic bike mags are worth a look and I have seen a few ST50/70 for sale at reasonable prices. You just have to be quick!
