1976 Honda ST70 monkeybike
Ile start with a couple of pics

Up for sale is my Honda st70 monkeybike. The bike has has had a full resto last year to a high standard, im selling as ive enjoyed riding it so much that i want to get a bigger bike now.
its covered about 1500 km since its rebuild, (the speedo reads km)

Its had every nut and bolt replaced
the seat has been trimmed using real leather, i bought half a cow hide.
5" wide real wheel and 3.5 inch front, instead of the 2.5 inch they have as standard.
Lowered front and rear
front and rear disk conversion.
140cc engine, was brand new when fitted.

I could go on, you get the picture... Its finished in Velvet green which is an old vw air cooled color.

£1800 ono.

Im in Sheffield.

"im supprised no one on here is interested!"

I think its a case of personal taste but it is my (personal) opinion that most people on here prefer a standard bike.

Some make a few subtle modifications and you will perhaps find a non-standard engine slipped in occasionally but looking at the photos people post and reading the many varied threads I am under the impression that this forum is very conservative and standard is the preferred option.
Certainly this is my preference and while I am not taking anything away from the customsied ST's out there, the (largly) continental trend for seriously modified examples is not for me.

I agree with Litch, it may have cost a fortune to build-but it isn't a Honda ST70 any longer. Once you fit a custom front end, a chinese engine, big wheels etc it could be a chinese Dax. I fitted a Lifan 110 engine in my ST70 and it looked so wrong i took it out an hour later. There are plenty of nice custom STs on the Japanese forums that I can appreciate, but .... sorry not my cup of tea.
There are more custom builders on the Monkey Run forum than on here, you may have more interest on there. VMax666
