Engine builders in Burnley?
Hello Is anybody there???? :(

I can hear the tumbleweed roll through this forum. Has'nt anybody got anthing to say, apart from the stock, "What year is my bike". It would be good to get the forum talking about events. etc. Don't keep it to yourselves let us know. :) :)

Sometime ago there was an engine "checker / re-builder on e-bay, spacifically geared towords the honda engines st50/70 c50/70/90 etc they operated from the Burnley area. Has any body heard or know of this service if so could you please let me know. Were they any good, and what were their prices like :?:

Many thanks in advance

Hi Si,
I recal seeing one a while back but to be honest I would not get my engine done by someone on EBay.

Why not have a go yourself?
Never done one myself but from the manuals I have it does not look to hard.
Steep learning curve to start with but once you have done it once everything else should get easier.

I'm sure there are others on he who have done it, and would help if you got stuck.

I know what you mean about the forum being quiet, maybe your engine rebuild thread can get it going?

Just a thought.

Cheers,

Hello blue,
Thanks for that, and I know what you mean about E-bay, :? but I do remember looking them up, and they actually looked quite good!

The reason that I don't want to do it myself is that I have a perfect little 1974 St 70 Lady Dax and I want the engine to be checked for its tolerances and Wear. Buy the time I've bought myself a decent set of vernier calipers and trueing blocks, its just as cheap to utilise this firms service :) :)

I'm also on the look out for an original 6v single fuel fed carb...............anybody :D :D :D

Hi guys
I also saw the advert for engine rebuilding service I believe it was £120 plus parts, will try to find it later as I am off to see Jamie Oliver (the naked chef) run with the London 2012 Olympics torch through our village as I cant get out because they have shut all the roads for a street party and carnival.

Hi
After last Sundays little blast I discovered a lot so I am now fettling bits and pieces to improve the purple one's handling and reliability which means the money tree will have to be pruned again and hopefully it will blossom very soon

Hi Si,

This is how I do it :)

Just below the "Submit" button when posting to or replying to a thread you will see "Upload Attachment" select that option. Upload Pictures.jpg Browse to the picture you want to upload select it, and click the "Add the File" button.
Place your cursor where you want the image to appear in the thread and select the "Place inline" button.

There is a maximun file size of 256KB and Maximum resolution, 640 x 480 I think?
Hope this helps.

Blue
