Disc brake conversion and old style mudguards

I am going to change the front forks on one of my bikes to the ooracing front disc break conversion kit but want to keep the original Helmet style mudguard.
I'm sure this can be done, has anyone tried this?

Haven't tried it.
I guess you have to weld the brackets on the legs.
Or get a disc conversion on your current forks.

I'm getting the conversion for the forks too, not just the disc brakes.
With a bit of fettling I'm sure I can get it to fit, just wondered if anyone has tried.
Will let you know how I get on.

They fit quite well, just the look I was after, only have to work out where to fix the brakets to.
