Exhaust - low swept
Has anyone fitted a low swept exhaust to a later model?
My Blue bike has an upswept so I was considering fitting a low one to my other bike.
I like the look but I'm not sure how restrictive these exhausts are, considering I have a 90cc engine fitted.

Can it be done or should I consider an alternative exhaust?

Cheers,

Blue

I'd go with another exhaust.
The front pipe is too narrow and can break easily.
Maybe a standard 90cc will be just under it's limit.

That's a shame as I really like the look.
I don't suppose anyone knows of a low swept alternative?

Thanks

You want a low swept original type?
I think (!) I heard of a the replica with a wider front pipe, but I'm not sure and can't find it right now.
Here are some (not original looking) alternatives for a low swept exhaust (there might be some issues using the standard double stand + passenger footrests)

Yes I kind of want one that looks like a low swept original, as long as it performs.
If you find that link please let me know

I contacted some of my colleagues here :)
The original exhaust should be good for max 88cc.
The unrestricted version (replica) is available at lucdebondt.be and costs +-60€, without shipping costs.
If you need some help to contact these guys (Steven and Luc) I'll be glad to help you out, but they fully understand English so you should be OK.

Thanks Waynus,
They sell the replica here too, http://www.monkeybike.co.uk/acatalog/Re ... Chaly.html
I just can't make my mind up :?
Have seen pictures of low swept bikes with centre stands and rear foot pegs, so hopefully it should be ok.
Think I'm going to ponder the idea whilst I get the bike up and running.
I have another exhaust I can use until I make up my mind.
