hi all, just purchased a set of custom forks via ebay, just wondering if anybody else has , swapped originals, the stem is slightly shorter , i was told i may have to mod the frame,to enable bearing carriers top and bottom. ideally id like to try and source a longer stem (pivot bolt), rather than chop and fabricate. any advice would be greatful. cheers .

Sounds to me like you have the wrong forks. Dax stem is longer than the monkey z50 one. i would just buy some more rather than trying to fix that problem, not worth messing.

hi guys
which forks have you got as it is probably not only the stem but pit bikes have a taper on the hydraulic casing which has a taper after the stem length

hi chaps, unsure what make the forks are, i purchased off ebay , they were listed as ST70/DAX but will req slight work to fit. the stem is the same diam, and threads suit original nut, its just a couple of inches short, even the brg cups fit , i put them together and fitted to see how they'd look, iam reluctant to re fit the originals as these babys look the dogs, im going to try and have a stem made or try and source a different tree set up which might house the fork arms.
