How much do you pay for your ST insurance?
How much is everyone paying for their ST insurance and which company are you with?

Reason I ask is that I'm currently looking for the cheapest possible quote!

HI JAMES
The insurance on my Lady Dax fully comp including legal cover, 2 years no claims, provisional license, garaged,5K mileage, value 4K,72CC, is £102.00 with Zenith and it went up to £167.00 with the ST50 (the yellow one this has a 72CC engine which I declared but I needed an engineers report).
There are a lot of options probably best to go to Bennetts who were very helpful but were unable to do multi bike insurance.
you need to get your bike running summers nearly here, my eldest daughter is now going out with a paint sprayer so I am looking at getting the ST50 resprayed in a more subtle colour maybe even a two tone I have changed the front disk hub to a billet one and it now looks better, I have a few more ideas to carry out but they will have to wait until I save up some more.
Shall I look into the price for a club sticker ?

Hi Tufty,

Thanks for detailed reply. There is another reason behind getting insurance for my ST and that's because I don't want to lose my 1 NCB that I have as it will lapse after 2 years (I didn't insure the bike last year as it sat in the shed :()!

Yes, I need to get my bike up and running this year, when the better weather arrives I can get to work on stripping the engine but will need to do it on a budget as I can't really afford to buy a million and one brand new parts which I did before lol.

Yes, if you could find out how much a club sticker would cost that would be great. Might be worth checking out: http://www.cafepress.co.uk/+bumper-stickers

I need to get a hi-res version of the club logo sorted and then we can get it printed on anything: mugs, t-shirts, stickers etc.
Cheers

James

Not that it will be a great help for you guys, but I'll do my contribution anyway.
I pay 55£ a year for my lady ST70, fully insurance.

As for stickers, we have a great print shop over here, with which I have been working for the past 10 years or so.
250 stickers, A7 format, glossy, 50€ + VAT + shipment to get them in the UK of course...

£17 - yep seventeen quid!

I used a comparison website and got a best quote of £55, but then Bennets offered me a £50 Hein Gerike voucher if I did it through them - their quote was £67.

So £17 !

I have a full NCB on both my truck & main bike (Gixer) so this was with no NCB

Wow £17 is cheap!

I've just got insurance for my ST through Bennetts (who I've used a couple of times before in the past). I paid £66.48 but do have quite a basic policy! However, I don't even know if I'll be using the bike this year (depends on if I can get it going and other commitments which take up a lot of my spare time) so didn't want to pay over the odds for a policy in case the bike doesn't get used.

Details: 26 years old, had a bike licence for 6+ years, 1 NCB, good postcode, parked off the road, 3rd party only (because the odds are that I won't be even be riding it this year), limited miles, no commuting, no pillions etc.

I went to the Bennetts website via Quidco so will get £20 cashback meaning my insurance for the year is actually only £46.48 :D
