Take the 3-week delivery time from Vietnam with a pinch of salt, I have recieved three parcels from Honda Classics now and I am sure they all arrived in under 2-weeks.
Did you check the length of the shocks against your originals?
The only reason I ask is that the measurement they quoted on their website (centre of eye to centre of eye) seemed to be 5-10mm shorter than my originals. Is the spring rate the same (firmer would suite me as I have ALWAYS found ST70 shocks too soft even from new, especially 2-up)?.
I have a good look at the shooks Linch theres no issues with lenth, regarding softness ,I am yet to try!the bike dont go.
perhaps they are aftermarket but it so hard to compare without stripping them apart,as a new part they look and feel correct.
I did look at fixing up the old ones but its just to much money and to be fair you can buy a mint bike with no miles on it for £1500 I do not see any point of spending more than this unless you are going to keep the bike forever!,--but there is always a better one. perhaps a person that is needing there own hand built restoration for fun - theres no other reward.
My St has been standing on a boat since 1991 and it just needed to much work I have found out I should have paid the guy £200 to through it in the sea, this would have solved a lot of pain and time and would have been far cheaper to buy a mint one but I am so far down the line with the bike its a shame to not complete.
I do like the bike but when I saw a 200 mile lady dax on ebay that sold for £1200 I should have just got that.
