The expense of driving back to the dealership and back outweighed me taking it back so therefore in the end I bought it online.
You can still order these at any Honda motorbike supplier!2
If they supply parts for older models that is!
I went to my local franchised Honda dealer last year to order new switchgear for my 1989 Dax (I even had the part number to hand) but I was gobsmacked when they told me they don't order spares for models over 10-years old. In the end I just went to David Silver again but I was very surprised with my dealers statement and don't know if this was just them or whether it is widespread policy.

CMSNL
MonkeyBikeUK
David Silver Spares (you will need to know exact part number)
eBay
Hope this helps you!

He is ok but his auction items usually START at the list price and often go for far more than you can buy them from David Silver for. There are exceptions to this (I know because I got one) but you have to beware when buying from an auction that you aren't paying over the odds.
I wasn't aware that he did non auction sales (you said you e-mailed him a list)? I contacted him last year and he said then that all purchases were by auction through Ebay.
