Driving me mad

Hi all, st70 driving me mad, 5 spark plugs no spark when I try them to earth, then found an old plug about 20 years old put it in the cap, big spark put it in the engine bike started first kick ticked over fine no smoke after 10 minutes turned it of, and it wouldn't start again removed the plug and checked for spark, nothing,bike seems to be killing spark plugs
