1991 Chaly basket.

As my daughter would say, its been a hot minute since I've been here.(Actually a few years I think.) A few weeks ago I picked up a Japanese market CF50 Chaly with a problem. The front basket is missing.. I'm in the USA so these were never sold here so no dealer or reseller likely stocks parts. Does anyone know if there are workable replacements. Will a Cub basket work? It just looks funny with the low-mount headlight and no basket.
