Restoration - correct part colours (1974 K3 ST70)
Hi all

Just about to blast my frame and all of the metal parts that need painting and wanted to know what the correct colours/finish should be. I’ve looked at numerous pictures and read as much as I can find, whilst there is variety, consensus seems to be...

Main body colour:
Frame
Front forks
Headlight unit
Chain guard
Top of rear shocks

Gloss black:
Rear light bracket
Foot pegs/stand assembly
Fuel tank and bracket
Seat hinge

Silver:
Wheels
Mudguards

Polished:
Rear/Front shocks bottoms

Cables:
Grey

Many thanks in advance for any assistance

Kind regards

Simon

Hi Simon, I can help you on the wheels because I used hamerite smooth silver and I did one at a time and it gives a sort of dull silver finish that was good match, I hope this is of some help
