Paint or Powder Coating
Hi all. I am looking to restore a 1979 Dax 70 which will require sand blasting and painting. My question is what would be better to paint it or powder coat it and what are the advantages and disadvantages of each. Thanks

Re: Paint or Powder Coating
Hi 70sVintage, I would prefer to have a pray painted frame and would look more original and easier to touch up if chipped or sratched.
I have had bikes that have had there frames powder coated and sometimes the coating has disguised the frame number with it's thickness.
Footrests and stands and number plate holders and bits can look nice with plastic coatings on them, hope this has been of some help :D

Thanks. Yes that was very helpful. I was thinking along the same lines and glad you have confirmed.
