New member White ST70

Hi all, here is a picture of my 1972 White Honda ST70, I have owned it for 6 years, it is a nice little runner and always brings me a smile from ear to ear when ridden

Always liked the White model. Good as it looks, I think it would look even better with the flower-patterned seat

Yes I would love to put a flower-patterned seat on it because I think it would Finnish the bike off nicely but I don't know were you'd buy one nowadays

Worth checking out the specialists. I'm sure I saw someone at the Stafford Classic Bike show with a newly recovered seat on one like yours.

Hi All,
The bike which one of you saw at Stafford was mine. The flower power seat came from Vietnam about 4 years ago when I restored the ST70.
Obviously the original seats would all be very old and you would be lucky to get one in good enough condition to put on a newly restored bike.
So after much thought I opted to take a chance on the one from Vietnam and it looks good and certainly sets the bike off.
The base is good and has the pocket and clip in for the tool kit.
Maybe this is not original but it was the best option.
Suggest new member White ST70 that you look on line which Is what I did.
I don't have the details to hand anymore but if you are really stuck come back to me.

Hi Ken, Many thanks, I will look up the flower power seats from the Vietnam supplier, an original seat would probably cost a premium even if one could be sourced. I would be very happy with one that's not original but looks good because it would be a lot better than the plain black one that I have on my bike at the moment.

The most recent tax disk is this one from 1984 showing that the st70 hasn't been on the road for 32 years, despite this I added fresh petrol fresh oil and a battery and several kicks of the kick-start and it sprang into action.
It just goes to show how bullet proof these little engines are
