ST70 In Wood Store
Hi

I am looking for some help and advice on how to value a one owner ST70 with 387 miles on the clock!

An old friend of mine called round for a chat yesterday and drink some of my whisky.

In conversation he reminded me that when we were younger we and a couple of other friends bought Honda ST70 monkey bikes from a local dealer in Sheffield to explore the local Yorkshire/Derbyshire moors.

He had decided to clear out his wood store and discovered he still has his bike!

He asked me as a silver surfer to see if it is worth anything, so what better place to ask than you guys.

I have attached some photos I took this morning

Hi snowhammer, looks like the little st70 will clean up nicely and the service parts are quite readily available and I should emagine that being a one owner and with such little mileage would make it a nice little gem to own

Hi ST70

Thanks for the comments

I have seen a number of restored ST70's (restored) for sale at over £2,000 with five or six thousand miles on the clock.

What do you think about him asking £500 for the Honda as a restoration project?

He fell off this bike more times than most on the moors as a youngster.

I think that now he is over seventy, riding a bike is not for him!

If you have the v5, stick it on ebay, should fetch up to £1000 if the right buyer is close by.

Hi Blue

Thanks for your comments

I will pass them on to my friend, to decide what he wants to do.

I will post the outcome back here

Cheers

As promised I have returned with news about the ST70

The bike was offered to the gardener's son who managed to start it and put 24 miles on it before saying he could not afford it!

I have now just put it on eBay at Auction with a reserve of £500.

I do hope somebody from this forum will buy it, restore it, and put pictures on here for us all to see.

Cheers
