New project/First time owner
I got this Honda Dax 70cc from my fiancés uncle. I have little to no knowledge on these. I know nothing about the history of it. I do not even know the year. I am here simply cause I am wanting to restore it and wanting to know if I could get advice from you guys! I really hope the images uploaded correctly, I struggled for a few days to get them to upload. Any advice is welcome!, and any info on what you think the year of this one is and what it would roughly cost me to restore! This will be my first restoration ever so fingers crossed!!

Based on the forks I'd date it 1969-1971.
Looks like you're in need of a new headlight.
Make sure you got the small Japanese version.
Good luck on sourcing the correct parts, I'm jealous with this bike !!! Great find.

Hi there
Looks like a great project but will cost a fair bit to bring up to a full rebuild and top condition.
I have a 1970 ST70 1 owned from new when I was a kid and I have spent a few thousand of A$'s to date. It's was in bits for 35 years!
My advice is to get the motor running first to see what's needed to be replaced as some parts are difficult to find. Then once it is going tear down and clean her up. Then attack the rest of the bike.
A good place to source parts in your part of the world is CMS NL and Shires Bikes in the UK. I got tyres for example from Shire Bikes and a good repro seat although I used the base of my old seat swapping the new over as the new seat base didn't fit mine properly. Quite easy fix and looks great.
I agree with Waynus it looks like a late 60's or early 70's model. Check the engine number and google it to see what comes up as you will need to know the year to source parts although many are interchangeable.
Good luck and keep at it!
