Hello Peeps,
Long time no speak  Now the weathers getting warmer and i've finally come out of my long winter hibernation, it's time to sort out the Fat Dax AGAIN :o :o :o

I've decided to put the bike on a diet and change the rear end. The 150 x 90 x 10 tyre is far to unrideable and has caused to many problems.
Having changed the bearings to decent Japanese ones and hubs, i've now got new wheels and boots.

Hopefully I'll get out on her the weekend.
All the best Si

OMG..........what a lovely day today. Took the blke out after fitting the the new wheels and tyres, changing the engine oil and having a general check up. I can honestly say that the new tyres make a world of difference and have bestowed upon me a wealth of confidence.

I'm now looking at a new carb combination. I've heard that an old Fiat 500 carb will fit onto my engine...........now on the look out for one. Here we go again

Hello khakimb,

Yes, I suppose it could be moved to were ever you wanted, you just need to make a bracket. :)

Hi Shorrocks,

Right, it could go anywhere really. Congratulations on a wonderful bike. Have you ever clocked top speed and fuel economy on current configuration.

Cheers

Hello Khakimb,

I have clocked my bike through my portable sat-nav at 84mph on the present set-up. :(

The tank was the 5.5L tank and could probably do about 80miles per tank  not really that good.............but what price do you put on fun? ;)

All the best Si
