Chaly mudguard colour
Hi all,

Does any one know the official colour for 1975 Chaly mudguards? Are they white white, or more of an 'off white'? Hard to tell from the condition of mine.

Also in terms of ultimate value, is it better to repaint the originals or buy new genuine honda ones. By the time I've bought rust proofer, primer paint, wet and dry etc, it is probably just as cheap to buy new!

Thanks
Chuffy

Can you still buy new originals?

I'd doubt it, but maybe it depends on the age of your bike, but I'm no Chaley expert, I'd like to get one but it would have to be an old 6v

Personally I'd get them painted, save cash by preparing them yourself, if you brave paint them too.

I got my old ST ones done for 40 all in

Hi Blue,

I've seen genuine Honda mudguards at Shires bikes for £65 each. But as you say, if I can get them both done for £40 then it's a big saving! Still not sure of the correct colour though. Mine is the original 6v Chaly 1975, which hopefully one day I'll get it on the road.

Thanks
