I know we like old minibikes..... So I'v'e seen in an other topic some people talking about these cool bikes....
So who his hiding for us? Who has the two?

I mean a Monkey and a Dax.....

You've probably seen to much of my bike in the past two weeks, but never the shrinking violet when it comes to a photo shoot
Here's my one and ownly contribution. But watch this space as i'm on the look out for a new project.

Yes - I've got a pair of Honda's little 'uns - 1972 ST70 and Z50J both currently undergoing restoration.
The ST70 was a pile of bits but is now a re-assembled pile of bits in red oxide primer that should be fired up sometime this week. Miracles can happen and need one right now.
The Z50J's origin is a bit of a mystery although it was absolutely complete and original when I bought it a few weeks ago. The speedo is in KPH and has never been registered but the frame number ADO2 505027885 would indicate it could be of Danish or Finnish origin between 1979 and '82. It obviously stopped bit sooner than intended by whoever was riding it last as the front fork sliders are bent although I got lucky and found a pair of pattern replacements at Easyrider.
This one is now completely stripped and the frame is being given a few coats of Simoniz Tough Black gloss in my "new" spray booth - see other topic for pics. Most of the shiny black bits on the frame are covered up though which saves a lot of awkward rubbing down. Plan is to finish it mostly black with red wheels etc.,
Pics of both to follow in due course when there's something worth showing.

50cc with the new FI gastank and lowered 60mm in front , rear stiff without suspension and lowered 60mm , extended swingarm +10cm , rebuilded seat with springs . On the left side there is a suicide-gearshift , and the engine is painted in Harley-Davidsons wrinkle paint.



And here`s my "almost original" Dax

Managed to get to the workshop this morning and got all 3 bikes together as they are stored in different places, the one on the left is the a 1978 ST70 which has been mildly customised and I call the Purple One this is a total rebuild including a sensible and tasteful paint job disc brakes front and rear extended swing arm, twin exhaust, Honda Nice headlight assy with digital speedo and lots of other bits and pieces.
The one in the middle is a 1969 USA K1 Minitrail
The very original other than the seat cover 1974 ST70 Lady Dax has had a total rebuild using most of the original parts other than the tyres and some nuts and bolts as these have been upgraded to stainless where equivalents are available.
I have got some other projects on the go but work has to come first

P.S yes before you ask the Purple One has got a VERY subtle flake under tone to the paint work !!!!!
