ST70 confused

Hi I had a ST 70 years ago STM23L and have hankered after another!

I have been offered a CT70 which looks identical as the ST i believe, but it was imported from the states in 1997 Manufactured in 1995.

It is as new only done around 200 miles, and has no blemishes. Uk registered and thats about it.

Is this worth as much as a normal ST70 ie from the 70s? What should I be paying for it? I think they want a grand!?

Have you got any pics you can show us of the bike. If memory serves me correctly I think the later CT70's came with plastic front mudguards and a lot of the chrome was done away with in order to keep the costs down. I don't think they will have the nostalgic appeal of the earlier CT's but that's just my opinion.
As for the price I guess it depends on how much you want a 1995 CT70. If it's mint and only got 200 miles on it at least you will know you will be getting a reliable bike that has not been messed about with so it might be worth it.
